Banned for life on 22 persons including former president of PFF

August 28, 2024) The normalization committee of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has imposed a lifetime ban on 22 people including former president Ashfaq Hussain. According to private TV ‘Jeo News’, the PFF Disciplinary Committee decided to ban the PFF House on the charges of occupying and creating a parallel organization.

Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, Zahir Shah, Aamir Dogar and Sardar Naveed Haider are among those who have been banned by the PFF’s Normalization Committee.

Sharafat Hussain Bukhari, Naveed Akram, Rahim Baloch and Dost Mohammad Khan, Mohammad Nauman, Rana Ashraf, Saeed Rasool, and Azizullah have also been banned. As a result of the ban by the Normalization Committee, Azizullah, Faqir Mohammad, Farzana Rauf, Mohammad Saleem, Fanwaz Aziz, and Siddiq Shaikh have also been banned from football for life.

The committee has ordered all these persons to return all PFF assets, including official vehicles, within 7 days, if they fail to comply with the order, criminal cases will be filed against them.

According to the decision of the Disciplinary Committee of the PFF, the committee, after a detailed investigation of the case, concluded that these persons had formed a parallel organization in violation of Article 70 of the PFF Constitution, which is the PFF. The decision said that the committee found their actions detrimental to the unity and governance of football in the country, hence banning the officials from participating in any football-related activities for life, declaring them “persona non grata”. has gone

According to the decision, disciplinary action was also taken against those involved in the attack on PFF House on March 27, 2021, which led to the suspension of international football in Pakistan and caused serious damage to the reputation of the country. The verdict said that the attack resulted in the illegal seizure of PFF property, embezzlement of over Rs 40 lakh, and destruction of important assets.

The PFF has directed all its concerned units and departments to strictly implement the decision of the Disciplinary Committee and warned that if any concerned person tries to establish contact with these banned persons, he/she will be punished.

Strict action will be taken against them. Those affected by the decision have the right to appeal the decision within 15 days, provided they complete the appeal process under the procedures provided under the PFF Disciplinary Code and Ethics.
